There are no restrictions on how long you can store items with Kent Storage. We offer short-term and long-term storage for any period, with no contract lock-in. You can extend your storage period at any time, or request your items be taken out of storage whenever necessary.

Our storage units are purpose-built using reinforced steel to ensure your belongings are always safe. They are fully enclosed and ventilated, with lockable doors at each end, which helps keep dust, pests, and moisture out.

Mildew is caused by an accumulation of moisture. You can prevent moisture and mildew in your storage unit by ensuring all furniture, but especially soft furnishings like sofas and mattresses, are wrapped in heavy-duty plastic. Smaller items should all be boxed, with layers of packing paper added. If you are placing a fridge, washing machine, and/or dishwasher into storage it is very important that these appliances be properly drained and dried before going into storage. Finally, you can also add silica gel desiccant packs to certain items to absorb any excess moisture.

With Kent Storage you can store almost anything in your storage unit, from household furniture and belongings, through to tools and equipment from your garden shed, excess office furniture and equipment, archived office documentation, and even surplus business stock and inventory. Vehicles can only be stored at selected warehouses, while items such as firearms, explosives, toxic or contaminated items, food, perishable goods, live plants and animals, and any flammable or hazardous goods cannot be stored in our storage facilities.
